Specialised Fire Appliances

Antipodean Projects (International) as part of its emergency services vehicle and vessel design and manufacturing divisions is the worldwide exclusive provider of the Antipodean Fire Crawler and Antipodean Rescue Crawler. With a top speed of 60 km/hr on sealed roads and all terrain capability, the Antipodean Fire Crawler or Antipodean Rescue Crawler can respond anywhere to fire or rescue incidents. The Crawlers are normally transported to incident grounds on flat-top support trucks to ensure a fast response and deployed for tasking once at the scene. In extreme emergency cases, the Antipodean Fire Crawler and Antipodean Rescue Crawler can even be deployed by cargo transport aircraft.
The Antipodean Fire Crawler has a 3000 liter water tank which can be refilled even from a hovering helicopter with bucket in remote locations, foam concentrate tank, vehicle fire suppression system, roof top fire/foam monitor and pump collectors/deliveries for hose line firefighting. The Antipodean Rescue Crawler acts as a 'Personnel Carrier' to transport crew or rescue victims to safety from any type of incident scene including bush fires where roads or escape are cut off due to fire. Crawlers are able to wade through 1.3 meters of water without the need for a optional air intake snorkel and can traverse terrain similar to a military armoured tank or APC, even cross trenches 2.5 meters wide.
The Antipodean Fire Crawler is suitable for forest fire hazard reduction tasks, building fire breaks and knocking down fire as it goes with 80+ meters of reach of foam and/or water from the Fire Monitor. The 4-in-1 bucket capability allows for the Antipodean Fire Crawler to work on fires such as mulch fires or tyre yard fires where the fuel load needs to be separated and extinguished. Other suitable tasks for the Antipodean Fire Crawler is in factory fires where roofs have collapsed and fire crews are not able to get to the seat of the fire due to the roof covering the hotspots. The Antipodean Fire Crawler can enter into the structure and remove any debris and lift away structural elements to allow the monitor to hit the fire directly. The roof of the Antipodean Fire Crawler is protected with heavy duty hydraulic shields to protect the crew against any collapse but can also deploy to drop off any debris that has fallen on top of the vehicle.
The Antipodean Fire Crawler and Antipodean Rescue Crawler are 'go anywhere' fire and rescue trucks which can provide solutions to the everyday challenges that fire fighting authorities and organisations have in protecting people and property.
